Deadlines

The teachers have drawn up some deadlines for us to meet, for example the deadline for the music video's is the 25th of November, it is important that our music video is edited and completed so it can be handed in on time.

We all have a deadline for the blogs which is the 9th of december, my group will work so that our blog is completed and finished by at least the 7th of december so we can check the work to see if its correct.

Editing

We will be using final cut pro to be editing our video;

Final Cut Pro
is a non-linear video editing software developed by Macromedia Inc. and then Apple The most recent version, Final Cut Pro X, runs on Mac personal computers powered by Mac version 10.6.7 or later and using Intel processors. The software allows users to log and transfer video onto a hard drive (internal or external), where it can be edited, processed, and output to a wide variety of formats.

We will start editing on friday because we have finished getting the footage that we needed, we will want to spend the next 2-3 weeks on the editing then after this deadline we will hand it in the teachers so it can be checked.

THE EFFECT OF DISTRIBUTING WITH BIG COMPANIES

We decided to take our distributing to a whole different level,so we connected our product with CHANNEL AKA. channel aka is a music channel and a distribution compan, which shows music videos and distributes music products. We got channel aka to distribute are product to their target audience.Our product were shown during the playing of the music and the adverts. This will have a big effect on our marketing because it will increase the amount of buyers.

DISTRIBUTING

We used a company called channel aka to distribute our album to their target audience. This is because, we wanted our product to reach out to more people.So when it release there will be a lot of buyers.The image bellow shown, depicts how we used channel aka to distribute our product.











As you can see our product is on the bottom right on the music play back screen.

We decided to choose some new locations to add to our musci video, becasue we wanted to emphasis on the storyline of our video. The story line of our nmusic video is RICH & POOR, the lowry hotel shows denotes the rich side of the artist life. Our second location; market street denotes the poor side of the artist life.
FIRST LOCATION:
we choose the lowry hotel because it contain the aspect of expensive room and expensive body work.
SECOND LOCATION:
we also choose market street to represent the poor side of the music video story line, because it contains deep parts of poor.


NEW IDEAS TO THE VIDEO

As a group we got together and looked at all our video and shots taken for our music music. As we looked at the videos and the shots we notice that we needed a story to our music video.
The story of of our music video will be illustrated by the lyrics of our chosen song "DOLLAR AND A DREAM III" and the new filming we will be taken will depict the lyrics to our audience.

The story will show the difference between rich and poor.

Method of the questionnaire

The method of the questionnaire is to help us choose the right covers for our album.
We carried out this method by asking 50 people to to choose the best cover they like, then we count up the total and pick the cover with the highest score.We also ask the people who took the questionnaire if there is room for improvements or not.

IMAGES OF THE MAIN PERFORMER

As you look at the images, you notice that there's an orange back in the background. The orange bag is made by Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren is an American fashion designer and business executive; best known for his Polo Ralph Lauren clothing brand. His clothing brand is very dear, so the Ralph bag in the background symbolises the rich part of the artist and also connotes to the album star song "Dollar And A Dream".


IMAGES OF THE CAMERA MAN

These are images of the camera man who took most of the video footage for our music video,although he was the main camera man. He was also a backup performer in the music video.

SOME OF THE LOCATIONS WE FILMED AT

During our pre-production for our music video, we listed some locations where we will be filming at.The lowry hotel was one of our location we choose, we choose this location because of it's rich atmosphere and it's rich components. We also liked the view, further more we choose this location because it denotes the wealth in our music video. (see pictures bellow)



Update

The group is currently filming so that we can have more footage so that we can start editing it, the other group member is currently doing the graphics work which is working out quite well and is looking extremely good.


We have filmed a lot already and the outcome has been superb with filming in the green screen room, which we used for 2 hours, it was hard work but we’re a hard working group and also filming in the Manchester near the lowery hotel, which had different aspects to the natural environment.


We could also have some new locations, which weren’t in the original plan, but we will keep the blog updated with the images and description in why we choose these different locations and what they mean to the song.
