This is an advert poster which promotes our album.The album poster shows the release date which is: 09/01/2012, when you look at the picture you notice that the stickers which are holding the album title:SIDELINE STORY is a dollar, we did this because it links in to the star song on the album dollar and a dream.

GREEN SCREEN :G
reen-screen technology is the basis of the effects seen in everything from the latest Hollywood blockbusters to the weather forecast. The idea is simple. If you shoot a video with a single colored backdrop (blue or green is often used) Pinnacle Studio allows you to make that color transparent - replacing it with any other video clip, graphic or still image.
With green screen, it's simple to superimpose anything or anyone into any shot. You can transport yourself to any background theme or any image in a music video, or make a presentation along with all the relevant facts and figures,you can see that we have used green screen on the side image. The side image is show Gilbert and Ducresse in a developed city and this connotes to out music lyrics and tittle 'dolla and a dream'.
Use of technology
HERE ARE SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT WE USED TO FORM OUR MUSIC VIDEO
We used the Sam-sung monitor to view the video in design mode and make any slight adjustments to the video. This piece of technology was helpful because if we felt that the we wasn't in sync with the video we could see it and re-do the video.
We used Live control CC-11 keyboard which helped us touch control of all inputs from a technical directors view and allowed us to focus on quality and pacing of live production, which improved accuracy for shot selection and live switching.

ANALYSING; an album cover
FONT: the font used on this album is very simple.we notice the simple text on the artist name"KANO". The font used on the album name is an urban styled font and the designer used this kind of text/font to appeal to his target audience.
BACKGROUND IMAGE: The image on the album cover is very direct. The image used on the cover is a close up of the artist face,as we look a at the album cover we are drawn straight into the eyes of the artist, the envy and mad emotion in the artist eyes connotes to the album title 'METHOD TO THE MADNESS'.Further more the background has the contrast between evening and night this also connotes to the theme method to the madness.
COLOR: The series of colors used on this album cover are BOLD colors and the colors have been multiplied with the images, but the RED on the cover connotes danger, which also draws the audience attention to the albums name. The designer used white on the artist name, this separates the artist name from the cover,the designer does this to make the artist name stand out.
IMAGES:The images used on the cover shows the environment and character of the artist
images such as speaker and music instruments show the artist life and what he is about,but the people in the hoods and the person sat down with his head in his hands connotes to the album title method to the madness, also the way the image are crowded together illustrates the album title.

VIBE MAGAZINE are very creative,it's sown by the use of image and text.The colour used on the magazine are very bold and catchy. It is also clear to see what the magazine poster is trying to distribute. The poster is very appealing and eye catching.

INSPIRATION


I took the inspiration from this image to produce my #D-WORLD image.
MY DESIGN(TAKEN FROM MY INSPIRATION)
i took this inspiration and produced my design which say #D-WORLD# from the image above.
as you can see the the name #D-WORLD# has the theme of a dream and the artist being on top of the world. the clouds in the letters connotes to the word DREAM and the artist picture in the top half of the letter D connotes to him being on top of the world .
i chose the theme of urban features for my design, i target my audiences and the type of genre of my music, so i took the imagery of the urban underground theme and combined them together to produce my design.
This image will play a part in our music video cause it connotes to the main parts of out lyrics and illustrate the life of the artist and song in a form of an image.
LONG SHOT : The long shot of DEE walking towards the camera,while lip syncing & performing.the long shot creates the tension between the artist and the audience.
this will last for 30 seconds, the mise-en scene that this scene will contain will be the costume: hats,watch,vans. the location will be "PRINTWORKS"
EXTREME CLOSE UP : Extreme close up of what DEE is wearing will illustrate to the audience that Dee is living the dream and this also connotes with the song title 'Dollar and a dream'

FOCUS SHOT : We will use a focus shot on the word D-WORLD. We will do this by blurring out Dee and and everything else so we can focus on the D-WORLD. this scene will take 10 seconds and the mise-en scene will be hats,watch,vans. the location will be "PRINT-WORKS"
LOW SHOT : The low shot will be used on Dee to make him superior which will create the theme of him being on top of the world. This also conotates to the song lyrics. This scene will take 30 seconds and the mise-en scene will be hats,watch,vans. the location will be "PRINTWORKS"
TRACKING SHOT : The tracking shot will be used in our music video to make a bond with the audience and the artist,this will create the dream atmosphere between the video and the audience.this scene will take 30 sceonds and the mise-en scene will be hats,watch,vans. the location will be "PRINTWORKS"
PANNING SHOT : The panning Dee walking on DOLLAS connotates with the song title and lyrics, DOLLAR AND A DREAM.this scene will take 30 seconds and the mise-en scene will be hats,watch,vans. the location will be "PRINTWORKS"
Example of album adverts

This advert above is advertising one of Jay-Z's albums, named Blueprint 3. Jay-Z is an Hop artist/ Rapper. The advert is very clean, as it is very well composed with contrasting colours enabeling the instruments to stand out. A range of different fonts have been used and a variety of sizes. The artists named is clearly shown, with the common appereance of his stage name in capital letters. Only key features relevant to the album have been displayed. These are: the album name (THE BLUEPRINT 3), the date (09.11.09), the record label (ROCNATION) and a website at the bottom of the page, for further information on the artist aswell as the album (www.Jay-Z.com).
The advert is kept very simple which I find is a good factor, but if there is not enough information for the audience they may feel discouraged to purchase or even look into the album. There is not alot to pursuade the audience to buy the album, like quotes from review magazines, but as Jay-Z is an established artist this probably gives him an advantage in this case. The font is clear and the seperation of the lines makes it easier for the audience to read. The colour scheme is simple but affective as you are not distracted by too many colours. You have black text on a white background so all lettering is easily readable, with your attention being brought to the record label Rocnation as a part is highlighted in red.
The advert above is advertising one of eminem's albums, named relapse. Eminem is an estabished hip hop/rap artist. The advert is very different to other artists such as Jay Z above because Eminem has used pills to make an image of him self trying to state that this album is either about avoiding drug addiction or is still addicted to drugs. The box at the bottom left of the advert cover has the rappers real name and the date of the album coming out with name using Refills: 05-9-09 in yellow so it stands out.
I think that with the use of pills to make an image it will appeal to the audience because it stands out which will persuade the audience to buy the album even though he is already an established artist. The font is clever because the relapse is written is a different fashion compared to the rest of the information in that little box, showing information

Production Treatment
The Music Video
The song that we have chosen to use for our music video is J Cole – Dollar and a Dream III. We have choice this song because we believe that we can create a video worthy of the song since the song doesn’t have an original video to it, we think that we use different aspects of society in Manchester to make it seem professional but also to have fun with it.
Duration
The duration of the music video will be 4 minutes. The length of the actual song is about 4 minutes and 43 seconds. We will use different images and shots to allow the song to finish at exactly 4 minutes and 43 seconds.
Audience
The target audience of our music video will be aimed at everybody but especially teenagers who listen to this genre of music. I think that teenagers would be an ideal target audience because this is type of music they listen to but also since were teenagers it is easy for us to relate more and give ideas which people our age group will enjoy. The video is not a very energetic video but its context is very deep due to the rhymes of the artist because we will show some aspects of society and creative thinking.
Resume
The narrative of the video will be about a guy who is walking on a road (which is basically a journey through life in his image) through his journey (walk) theirs a poor man on the side of the road but also on the other side of the road there is a normal man who has enough to get by this shows the difference between classes. We will try to relate the video with song as much as we can, because if we combine the two it could be a brilliant video and we also think if we achieve that the audience will enjoy the video.
Suggested Elements
The costumes that the main character will be wearing is the typical rap artist clothing, we will try to keep the clothing colour dark because black somehow represents something evil, depressing or even death this will show the difference between the main character and the people around him.
The key locations will be on the streets because of the surroundings that go with themRecording Days
Were sure it will take us about 2-3 weeks to complete the video, in that time will make as much footage as we can so that we can pick the best bits and put it together to create a master piece.
